Extra Project: Los sitios de Zaragoza

Objectives:

- Improve oral skills.

- Encourage worth and respect of the cultural past of Zaragoza.

- Use the ICT as didactic and and communicative resource.

Steps:

- Each group (from 3 to 5 people) will go over different places of Zaragoza city. Those  sites are:

a) Santa Engracia Square

b) Sitios Square

c) Heroismo and Asalto Streets

d) Historias Centre.

- In each location, the group must talk about some topics (materials will be provided by teachers).

a) Compulsory topics:

1 Historical facts

2. Characters

b) Optional topics (1 or 2 in each place): 

Santa Engracia Square (1st Siege)	Sitios Square (1st Siege )
How the city was Hospital/wounded assistance Daily life Madre Rafols	Description of the monument and its characters How the city was Women Armament Hospital/wounded assistance Daily life
Heroismo/ Asalto Streets (2nd Siege)	Historias Centre (2nd Siege)
Armament French point of view Daily life	Epidemic dissease/ patients assistance French belic strategy Capitulation French point of view Daily life

- With the material, each group should elaborate an script of its exposition, that will be recorded and sent to the teacher

- The recording in each site should last a maximum of 5-6 minuts.

Final product:

A video elaborated in English by the group.

Evaluation:

The activity could increase the average mark of the second term a maximum of 0,25 points.
